Stronger Together

Hi,
Every so often a wonderful caring person comes into your life, my friend in which this post is dedicated to is one such lady. Not only is she a breast cancer survivor, she tirelessly raises money and promotes awareness for the disease. Additionally, coming from the fashion industry she knows how important it is to feel beautiful under any circumstance. Her new focus is dedicated to making people with cancer look and feel better. She is quite a remarkable lady.
My friend also loves Pinterest and pinning all sorts of new ideas. One of the pins she came across was an image close to the one that I am about to share with you. She was interested in knowing how one would go about creating something such as this. So together we got out our paper and pencils and created our sketch. Unfortunately the project took longer than expected, and after one afternoon we had just our sketches completed. Therefore we set a second date to finish up the project, and in the meantime we would complete our backgrounds. Our next afternoon was a fun day of learning to paint, drinking tea and eating a healthy lunch. Although close, the project was still not complete, therefore we decided to finish it off on our own.
After weeks of setting it aside I finally decided to get my butt in gear and finish it off. Once the painting on the canvas was complete I needed to turn my project into something. Deciding on a  bag for my painting it was time to put the sewing machine into action. Finally a fully lined including a pocket shopping bag emerged. I hope she enjoys her Christmas gift.

There are so many amazing and caring people in this world who make a difference. Thank you my friend for being one of them.
Have a wonderful day,
Susan
