More Adventures In Skin

Hi,
Well, I must say a little stretching is going on in my world and it is not yoga. When I first considered entering the Make it Colourful skin challenge I knew some boundaries were going to be pushed. In my first skin colouring post I went for something completely different, green and alien.  For my second entry in this challenge I have chosen the colours and theme from beyond our realm of the living or at least between the realms, the awakening dead.
The most difficult part of this challenge was to use light colour tones throughout the image, as opposed to the vivid bright colours I normally use.
Elven Ardella a digital stamp from Make It Crafty  was the perfect image for this project. It's her torn wings and far off gaze that gives her the qualities of being from a land unknown, all the while complimenting the ghostly appearance of her skin.
I used a variety of colours, from pale blue (B0000), violet (V0000) and grey (C00) which are not my go to skin tones. Alas we have the infamous blue violet (BV20) bringing dark shadows of the skin to life. Finally, to complete the look I threw in a couple of normal skin tones (E0000, E000) helping give the wonderful but lost look to Elven Ardella's character.

Have a terrific day,
Susan
